About product

Quickboost MiG-21 - radio altimeter sensors (early version) 1:72

A detail set from the manufacturer Quickboost. It is not a model but an accessory for models of the MiG-21 fighter in its early form in 1:72 scale. It contains resin radio altimeter sensors, that is, the small antennas on the underside of the fuselage.

What the set is for

Radio altimeter sensors are usually simplified in plastic kits or missing altogether. The resin replacements have the exact shape matching the early version of the aircraft and add the period-correct detail to the underside of the fuselage.

Usage tips

Carefully cut the parts from the casting block and wash the mold release agent off. Because they are small, work with tweezers. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and are best fitted at the end of the build. Protect your airways when sanding resin.

Who the set is for

  • builders of early MiG-21 versions in 1:72 scale
  • modelers who care about period-correct detail
  • hobbyists used to working with resin

This is an accessory, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
