A resin detail accessory of the Quickboost brand, made by Aires, intended to refine the plastic kit of the MiG-21 jet fighter in the MF, bis and SMT versions in 1:72 scale. The set refines the nose air intake with a faithfully shaped cone and inner wall, which plastic often simplifies.
The MiG-21 was a single-engine jet fighter with a characteristic nose air intake and a movable intake cone. The MF, bis and SMT versions are among the later and widely built configurations; a faithful air intake is a conspicuous feature when the aircraft is seen head-on.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting blocks and seat them in the nose of the kit. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); fill and sand the transitions to the fuselage.
This is an accessory for a kit, not an aircraft model. The kit itself is not included in the package.
