Painting masks for the MiG-29 (9-13) - Peewit, 1:72 scale

A set of precisely cut self-adhesive painting masks from Peewit in 1:72 scale for the Soviet and Russian fighter aircraft MiG-29 in the version with the factory designation 9-13. It is not a model and not a kit - these are masks that make a clean coat on the cockpit frames and usually on the wheel hubs easier. A mask is stuck onto the transparent part, its surroundings are sprayed and once it is peeled off the frames are left sharply bounded, with no laborious filling in by hand. In the small 1:72 scale this is a more reliable route to a clean result than painting with a brush.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully from the sheet and stick them precisely onto the cockpit frames; tweezers or a wooden stick helps.
• Press the edges down so that paint cannot seep under the mask, and spray the surface with an airbrush or from a rattle can.
• Peel the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, while the film still holds its shape well.
• Apply the interior color of the frames first, then the upper color of the airframe - the transition will be clean.
• The inner surfaces of the glazing can be completed with liquid mask.

Who the masks are for

For modelers who build the MiG-29 version 9-13 in 1:72 scale and want clean, sharp cockpit frames with no painting by hand. Suitable for the less experienced as well, because they simplify masking markedly.

This is a masking aid, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
