Eduard Brassin 1:72 MiG-29A exhaust nozzles is a resin set of exhaust nozzles that replaces the kit nozzles on MiG-29A models with faithfully cast parts with internal structure.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an aircraft, but a detail accessory in resin from Eduard. The set replaces the kit exhaust nozzles of both engines on MiG-29A models in 1:72 scale. Photo-etched parts for the fine details that cannot be captured in plastic are usually included as well.
The MiG-29A is powered by two Klimov RD-33 jet engines, whose exhaust nozzles with their moving petals are among the conspicuous features of the rear of the aircraft. Faithfully cast inner and outer nozzle surfaces with heat-tinted metal lift the realism of the model considerably when it is viewed from behind.
Wash the resin parts with lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection, and glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue as well. Nozzles are usually painted in metallic shades with heat tints, and the inside is filled out with dark washes.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; these are resin and photo-etched parts for completing a plastic model. The glue, the paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
