A small add-on set for the air intakes of a model of the Soviet Mikoyan MiG-25 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian brand Armory. This is not an airplane kit but an accessory for a model you already have. In the smaller scale it is a small part, but the intakes on the MiG-25 are large and impossible to miss, so it shows on the result. Neither the material nor the number of parts is stated here, and we recommend checking them on the box.
The MiG-25 was a heavy high-speed aircraft designed for flight at high altitude and high speed, which its two powerful engines and its largely steel structure matched. Its huge angular air intakes are among the most striking features of the whole machine. Inside they have a splitter plate, which leads the slowed layer of air away from the surface of the fuselage and out of the duct to the engine, and shaped ramps, which slow the flow down before the compressor.
Dry-fit the part before you seat it and sand its mating surface flat, so that it does not sit crooked in the intake. Super glue, that is cyanoacrylate, holds on resin as well as on photo-etched metal, so it suits both cases. Paint the inside of the intake before you glue the part in; once it is assembled you will not get a brush in there.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
