Reskit 1:72 Mikoyan MiG-25RB/MiG-25RBT Cockpit is a resin cockpit set for models of the reconnaissance and reconnaissance-bomber versions of the MiG-25. An accessory for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right.

A detail set from the Reskit brand that replaces the pilot's cockpit on a model of the MiG-25RB or MiG-25RBT in 1:72 scale. It is an accessory, not a kit of the aircraft: the base plastic model has to be bought separately. Resin castings allow finer definition of the instruments, panels and inner walls than injection-molded plastic manages in a small scale. The cockpit is at the same time the most looked-at place on a model with the canopy open.
The MiG-25 was a high-speed aircraft with a pair of turbojets, designed for flight at great altitudes. Besides the fighter versions, reconnaissance and reconnaissance-bomber versions were also built, designated RB and RBT, which differed in their equipment for photographic and electronic reconnaissance. The cockpit of the single-seat versions is equipped differently from the fighter machines, so a set cut precisely for the reconnaissance versions gives the model a more accurate form.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw; sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection. The cockpit is best dry-fitted and the mating surfaces of the fuselage adjusted before the halves are glued together, as resin tends to be bulkier than a plastic part. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After the primer, paint the interior and the instruments, bring the detail out with a dark wash and the edges with a dry brush. Belts and small levers stand out when you emphasize them with a contrasting shade.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Check the fit with your kit before buying.
