MiG-3 main wheels with weighted tires and a tread for a paved runway, 1:72 is a resin accessory for a model, not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Replacement main wheels for a model of the MiG-3 in 1:72 scale, the manufacturer's part number AW72064. An accessory for a model, not an aircraft kit. The tires are cast weighted and the pattern matches the version for operation from a paved surface. Armory makes the same wheels with a tread for soft ground as well, so when buying, decide by the surface your aircraft is to take off from.
The MiG-3 was a Soviet high-altitude fighter with a Mikulin engine. It took off from field airfields as well as paved ones, and the tires differed in pattern according to the surface: smoother for a concrete or cinder runway, coarser for earth. The weighting of the tire is a small thing that changes the whole impression of a finished model: on a standing aircraft the tire is visibly flattened where it meets the ground, while the wheel from the kit tends to be perfectly round.
In 1:72 these are very small parts, so lay out a mat under them from which nothing can bounce away. Wash the mold release agent off them, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Watch the vertical axis so that the flat sits down on the ground. Spray the tire dark gray and set the hub apart; apply the dust only from below and very lightly, as the effect is easy to overdo at this scale.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
