A resin exhaust nozzle of the SNECMA Atar 9B turbojet for the French Mirage IIIC fighter in 1:72 scale from CMK. Compared with the original plastic part, the nozzle is cast in one piece and brings far better detail of the blades and of the inner profile, which is clearly visible at the tail of the aircraft. It replaces the less accurate plastic part from the kit.
The Atar 9B was the turbojet that powered the early versions of the Mirage IIIC. The variable-geometry exhaust nozzle is a prominent feature of the rear fuselage and rendering it faithfully adds a great deal to the overall impression of the model.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and clean it up. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the inside of the nozzle in metallic shades with heat discoloration (various tones of burnt metal) and pick out the edges with a fine wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
