An injection-molded plastic model of the Japanese twin-engine heavy bomber Mitsubishi Ki-67 Type 4 Hiryu, known among the Allies under the code name Peggy, in 1:72 scale. This edition carries the markings of a crew training unit. The package contains parts in light gray plastic, clear plastic for the glazing and a decal sheet; you will build one aircraft. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Ki-67 Hiryu was one of the best Japanese bombers of its day. Against older types it stood out for higher speed, good agility and relatively strong defensive armament. It was powered by two radial engines and the machine was used in the late phase of the war both in the bomber role and as a torpedo carrier and in kamikaze attacks. It was built in relatively small numbers, which makes it all the more interesting for modelers.
Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic joints, as it wicks into the seams. Mask the glazing of the cockpit and the gun positions and glue it only once the interior has been sprayed. Lay the base over a primer, and for the airbrush choose thinned modeling paints. Bring out the panel lines with a thin wash and tie the whole surface together with a matte coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
