Format 180 x 357 millimeters, acrylic three millimeters thick, weight 210 grams. Compared with the usual bases of the brand the board is conspicuously elongated, because it follows the stern of a modern Japanese frigate together with the adjoining space in front of the hangar. It is precisely this extra reach that sets the full version apart from the shorter variant of the same subject.
The Mogami is a new generation of multipurpose frigates of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, entering service from 2022. You can tell it by the smooth superstructure with an enclosed mast, by heavily automated operation with an unusually small crew and by the ability to operate against mines as well. At the stern it has a hangar and a deck for a shipboard helicopter, which handles the search for submarines and transfer between ships.
An elongated format is more sensitive to bending when carried, so take the board in both hands by the shorter sides and never by a single corner. For longer storage let it lie flat, ideally interleaved with soft paper. Acrylic will stand an ordinary room environment, but direct sun on a windowsill does the color print no good in the long run.
