Resin Mosquito wheels 1:72 (CMK)

The set brings finely cast main wheels and a tail wheel with its leg (fork) in 1:72 scale for models of the British multirole de Havilland Mosquito. The resin castings have a markedly more faithful tread pattern and lightened hubs than the plastic parts of the kit, and they noticeably raise the level of detail of the landing gear. The name marks the set out for the Mosquito kit from Special Hobby.

Material and building

• The wheels are cast in resin; the leg of the tail wheel is made of a firmer material.
• Wash the mold release agent off the parts and cut them from the casting blocks.
• Sand the cut faces with respiratory protection and glue with super glue.
• Spray the tires a flat blackish gray and set the hubs apart; a slight weighted look from seating them on a flat surface is also an option.
