The Bulgarian brand DN Models has prepared a sheet of pre-cut parts that carries the contemporary Russian camouflage scheme onto a small MT-LB model. It covers the large continuous areas of the hull, the superstructure and the side skirts, so the blotches and stripes are sprayed with an airbrush and not drawn in with a brush. The material is a thin masking tape, flexible enough to follow rounded transitions.
This Soviet tracked armored vehicle from the early 1960s came about as a tractor for antitank guns and a light personnel carrier. A low silhouette, wide tracks and a negligible ground pressure made it a machine that gets through a bog and deep snow alike. It swims without any preparation, driven by its tracks. It is precisely this undemanding nature that has earned it dozens of derived conversions and service in many armies to this day.
First spray the lower shade and let it cure honestly, ideally overnight. Lay the die-cut parts from the middle toward the edges and press the edges down with a toothpick or a stick. Apply the second color in several light layers at right angles to the edge of the mask, as otherwise it will run under. Remove them with a gentle sideways pull, not upward.
You will not find the vehicle, paints or thinner in the package; it is exclusively a masking sheet.
