A self-adhesive masking set for the cockpit glazing of the Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka model 22 in 1:72 scale is an accessory to a kit, not a model and not paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
This masking set from the Czech maker Brengun holds pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the frames of the cockpit glazing on a model of the Japanese Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka in the model 22 version, 1:72 scale. The masks are cut for one particular Brengun kit. It is not a model and not paint: it is an aid for spraying.
The cockpit glazing is the most visible place on a model. Cutting masks out of tape by hand is slow and on small frames in 1:72 scale it is practically impossible to do accurately enough for all the lines to be straight and the same width. Pre-cut masks have the shape matching the particular part from the kit, so they are simply peeled off and laid on. The result is a sharp frame edge and clean clear areas with no adhesive residue.
First wash the clear part and let it dry completely, as a mask will not hold on a greasy surface. Lift a mask off the sheet with the tip of a scalpel or with tweezers, lay it on dry and press it down with a toothpick all the way round, especially on the edges where paint could seep under. Spray in thin coats; one heavy coat is more likely to run under the edge of a mask than three light ones. It works well to spray the interior shade of the frames first and only then the outer camouflage. Lift the masks while the paint is fresh, with tweezers and at an angle rather than straight up, so that the edge of the finish is not torn off.
This is a masking set, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
