RS Models P-39D Airacobra (1:72) is a plastic kit of the American fighter aircraft with its unusual engine position behind the pilot.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from RS Models captures the early D version of the American Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter in 1:72 scale. It is a short-run kit with finely engraved surfaces, a glazed cockpit and a decal sheet. The model keeps the characteristic silhouette of the Airacobra with its car-type cockpit doors.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American single-seat fighter of unusual layout - the engine was placed behind the pilot, in the middle of the fuselage, and drove the propeller through a long shaft. The front of the fuselage was thus freed up for heavy cannon armament. The D version was among the early production machines, and the Airacobra became famous above all for its service with the Soviet Air Force.
With a short-run kit, dry-fit the parts and clean off the flash first. Paint the cockpit before closing up the fuselage. We recommend a primer, the main color coat with an airbrush and a gloss coat under the decals. Fine panel lines and discreet weathering will underline the small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
