Brengun 1:72 P-39 Airacobra / P-400 is a photo-etched detail set for models of the American fighter; it is not a model but a set of accessories in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Brengun for models of the American Bell P-39 Airacobra fighter and of the export P-400 version in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but a set of fine metal parts that lifts the detail of a plastic model; a single fret covers the Q, L and N variants.
The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an unconventional fighter with the engine placed behind the pilot and with nose landing gear. It was used on a large scale by the Soviet Air Force, where it proved itself above all at lower altitudes; the export P-400 carried British markings.
Photo-etched parts for refining the cockpit interior and the external elements, typically the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat belts and small exterior details that plastic molds capture only coarsely.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a mat, make the bends in a metal bender and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the interior and bring it out with a wash before closing the fuselage; on the Airacobra you will appreciate the open car-type cockpit doors, through which the detail is clearly visible.
This is an accessory set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
