P-40M/N Warhawks exhaust and radiator flaps is a resin set of exhausts and radiator flaps for a 1:72 Curtiss P-40 model from Quickboost (Aires).
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of finely cast exhaust stacks and radiator flaps for building the American Curtiss P-40 fighter in the M and N versions in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a resin accessory that replaces the parts from the plastic kit with sharper detail and open exhaust outlets. It is made by Quickboost, a brand of the Aires company.
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War with a liquid-cooled Allison V12 engine. The late P-40M and P-40N versions were among the most widespread and served on a number of fronts. The side exhausts and the radiator flaps under the fuselage were characteristic features.
Wash the resin castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut off the casting blocks and clean up the joints, then bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Pick out the exhaust outlets with a dark, rusty shade, and a fine wash will bring out the radiator flaps. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
