Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American fighter P-47D Thunderbolt in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. It is an easy-build model with a lower part count, finely engraved panel lines, a cockpit and a clear canopy part. Check the exact package contents and the number of parts against the enclosed instructions.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was among the largest and heaviest single-engine fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by a massive radial engine with a turbocharger, thanks to which it excelled at high altitude and in a steep dive. The P-47D version was the most numerous and it carried heavy machine gun armament. Besides escorting bombers it proved itself above all as a tough ground-attack aircraft able to carry bombs and rockets against ground targets.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, and the fine and clear parts rather with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the cockpit and add the details before closing the fuselage; the clear canopy can be protected with a mask during spraying. A number of machines flew in polished metal finish, for which a quality base and an airbrush are suitable. Pick out the panel lines with a fine wash and fit the underwing stores only after painting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
