This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not a model in its own right. It renders the wing gun bays of a P-47D Thunderbolt plastic kit in detail, the inside of the bays as well as the hinged covers, which let you present the aircraft with the armament section open. The set is meant for experienced modelers who want to take the detail of the wings beyond the level of the molding from the box.
The Republic P-47D Thunderbolt was an American heavy single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber of the Second World War. It was powered by a strong radial engine, had a rugged structure and heavy armament of .50 caliber machine guns housed in the wings. It was used over Europe and in the Pacific both as an escort fighter and as an attack aircraft against ground targets.
This is a resin casting for advanced builders. First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean up the cut surfaces, always with your airways protected. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate); dry-fit the surfaces before you fix them. Paint the inner surfaces and bring them up before they are covered, while they are still easy to reach.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
