This is NOT an aircraft model but an accessory set from the Space range for refining the cockpit of a P-51D Mustang fighter model in 1:72 scale. It combines 3D decals of the instrument panel and the side consoles with raised relief on the instruments with color photo-etched steel seat belts and small details. The set is intended for Arma Hobby kits.
The 3D decals are not released from the sheet by dipping it in water; instead the backing paper is moistened, the element is lifted off it with tweezers and fixed with PVA glue. They have real relief on the dials and switches, so there is no need to paint the instruments. The steel belts are flexible and faithful. The set is shaped exactly to the panels of the given model so that it fits without modification even in a small scale.
The P-51D Mustang was an American fighter of the Second World War with long range, used as a bomber escort and for attacks on ground targets. The glazed cockpit reveals the interior and is worth refining.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
