A plastic kit of the legendary American fighter P-51C Mustang in 1:72 scale from the South Korean company Academy. The package holds injection-molded plastic sprues, a clear canopy part and decals; check the exact contents against the enclosed instructions.
The P-51C was the version of the Mustang with the classic razorback fuselage spine and with the British Rolls-Royce Merlin engine built under license as the Packard. It was the two-stage supercharged Merlin that gave the Mustang its outstanding performance at high altitude and, together with its long range, made it the key escort fighter of the Second World War. The P-51C version was built at the Dallas plant.
Clean the parts up and try the fit dry. Use a thin cement for plastic for the gluing. The natural metal finish of many Mustangs comes out well with a good primer and metallic shades laid on with an airbrush; stir the metallic paint thoroughly and apply it over a smooth base. Lay the decals over a gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
