This plastic kit in 1:72 scale represents one of the best known fighters of the Second World War, the North American P-51D Mustang. The model in the popular small scale offers faithful airframe shapes with the distinctive teardrop canopy and suits building as well as collecting aircraft subjects.
The P-51D Mustang was an American single-seat fighter famous for its long range thanks to drop tanks. The D version introduced a teardrop canopy for a better view and heavier armament. Mustangs escorted bomber formations deep over enemy territory and became one of the symbols of Allied air power.
Finish and paint the cockpit before the fuselage is closed, and glue the clear parts with canopy glue. For the glossy natural metal surfaces of the Mustang, good metallic paints or lacquer metal shades on a smooth base suit well; apply them at the very end and mask carefully. A gloss coat under the decals will suppress the edges of the markings.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
