The set holds finely cast resin exhausts for a model of the American North American P-51D Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory from Quickboost (Aires) that replaces the plastic parts of the kit with sharper castings with the outlets indicated. It is not an airplane model but a detail set for raising the realistic look.
The North American P-51 Mustang was a single-seat fighter with a V12 engine, and its D version ranks among the best-known machines of the Second World War. The rows of exhausts along the sides of the nose are a clearly visible detail even in a small scale. More faithful exhausts can be picked out with dark shades and a light sooting.
First wash the resin parts to remove the release agent, separate them carefully from the casting blocks and dry-fit them in place. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). When sanding and cutting resin, protect your airways and work in a well-ventilated area.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
