This set by Kelik contains 3D decals (wet, waterslide) in 1:72 scale with relief, full-color detail of the instrument panel, the side panels and other cockpit features. The layered print gives the surface depth and takes the place of laborious painting of the individual dials. It is not an aircraft model but an upgrade accessory for the Tamiya P-51D Mustang kit.
The North American P-51D Mustang was one of the most important fighters of the Second World War. Thanks to its long range it escorted bomber formations all the way over German territory. Its cockpit with the characteristic instrument panel is a rewarding subject for detailed work.
Clean and degrease the cockpit surface. Dip the parts briefly in lukewarm water, slide them off the backing and seat them in place; the flexible carrier follows the shape. Use decal softener sparingly, and once everything has dried the detail can be unified with a matte varnish.
The box contains only the interior 3D decals. The model itself, paints and glue are not part of it.
