Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American North American P-51K Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale from Arma Hobby, built on a modern mold. The P-51K is the Dallas-built version of the Mustang, which differs from the P-51D above all in its Aeroproducts propeller (instead of the Hamilton Standard) fitted because of a shortage of the standard propellers. The package contains decals, self-adhesive masks for the glazing and the wheels and a clear display stand. The exact number of parts and of marking schemes is given in the enclosed instructions.
The P-51 Mustang is the iconic American single-seat long-range fighter of the Second World War, powered by the Packard Merlin V12 engine. The P-51K version was built at the plant in Dallas and differed in the use of the Aeroproducts propeller with duralumin blades; that propeller was less well balanced, which on some machines led to a later replacement. Mustangs of this type served in both the European and the Pacific theaters and with the RAF as well.
Glue the parts with a thin cement for plastic and apply a primer before painting. Mask the Dallas Hood glazing with the masks included and paint with an airbrush. For machines in a natural metal finish, use metallic lacquers with the panels differentiated; create the color bands and unit markings using the decals included. Take care over the correct shape and orientation of the Aeroproducts propeller blades, which are typical of this version.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
