The set contains resin exhausts that replace the plastic parts from a kit of the PBY Catalina flying boat. The castings from the Czech brand Quickboost have a finer surface and better defined outlets, so once fitted the engine area of the model looks more realistic.
This is a direct replacement: the exhausts are fitted in place of the original plastic parts without major modification. They raise the level of detail immediately in a clearly visible place on the model.
Cut the parts carefully from the casting blocks, wash the mold release agent off them and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The outlets can be lightly drilled out for effect and brought out with a dark patina.
