A patrol of the Police of the Czech Republic as figures in 1:72 scale. A small format for populating scenes with present-day vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
The subject is a patrol of the Police of the Czech Republic, that is of the present-day Czech police force. In a scene with present-day vehicles figures like these bring scale and action: only from the figure beside a vehicle does a viewer recognize how big the vehicle is and what is going on in the scene.
The 1:72 scale is among the smallest commonly built. A figure around 175 cm tall in reality corresponds in it to roughly 2.4 cm, that is a figure the size of a fingernail. At such a size you work with the overall impression rather than with detail: what decides is a clean outline, the right proportion of dark and light areas and a face that is not overpainted.
Cut off the excess material with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the small shape is not disturbed. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, otherwise the paint may not hold.
The figures will be used by builders of scenes and dioramas in 1:72 scale with present-day vehicles and by modelers who want to suggest the size of a finished model with a figure beside it. Paints, glue, a base and scene accessories are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
