Yahu Models 1:72 – photo-etched seat belts of the RAF Sutton QK type from the Second World War period are an accessory for raising the realism of the cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set of seat belts from Yahu Models in 1:72 scale, made after the British Sutton harness system of the QK type from the Second World War period. It is not a kit, nor a whole interior, but a small accessory for the cockpit, which replaces the missing or coarsely rendered belts from a plastic kit.
The Sutton harness was the standard restraint for the pilot in the aircraft of the Royal Air Force during the Second World War. The characteristic arrangement of the straps and the buckle is one of the striking details that catch the eye in an open cockpit and complete the credibility of a model.
Carefully separate the parts from the fret and clean up the edges. The photo-etched sheet can be gently shaped so that the belts look loosely draped over the seat. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). If the belts are not painted from the factory, paint them in a matching shade and bring up the buckles with drybrushing.
This is an accessory (photo-etched seat belts), not a model of an aircraft. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
