1:72 Polish Army, September 1939 is a set of soldier figures for scenes from the first weeks of the Second World War. It suits hardware in the same scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings figures of Polish soldiers from the period when the fighting opened in 1939. In the small scale they will serve to populate scenes where you already have the hardware but the scene lacks a human dimension. The figures are supplied unpainted, so you choose the coloring of the uniforms and of the small details after a real subject of your own.
The fighting on Polish soil in September 1939 opened the Second World War in Europe. The Polish army defended itself against superior forces attacking from two sides and the campaign lasted only a few weeks, yet it left behind a number of striking episodes that modelers return to. Soldiers of that time look markedly of their period compared with the later years, which makes the theme a rewarding choice for a collector.
Uniforms in this scale look best when they keep to muted tones and you avoid excessive contrast. First lay the base shade down, then lightly bring out the edges with a slightly lighter tone and merely suggest the shadow with thinned darker paint in the folds. Treat the leather straps and boots noticeably darker than the cloth, otherwise the detail is lost in the overall view.
The figures are painted separately; you add the hardware to them from other sets.
