The propeller 1:72 Propeller for Focke-Wulf Fw-190D-11 from IBG models is a replacement part for modelers building the late version of the German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A separate, precisely shaped part will replace the propeller from the base kit. In the small scale it is the blades on which the coarseness of a mold shows most, so swapping them for a workshop casting with a crisp leading edge and the correct twist of the blade changes the overall impression of the nose more than one would expect from a part this small.
The long-nosed Doras received a Junkers Jumo 213 inverted V12 engine and with it the elongated nose that set the aircraft apart at a glance from the radial-engined versions. The D-11 subversion was among the latest and was built only in a negligible number of examples at the very end of the war. It relied on armament concentrated in the wing and on wider propeller blades, which could carry the higher output of the powerplant into thrust.
First cut the carrier block off with a fine saw and level the surface on sanding paper laid on glass, so that the propeller seats square. Try the fit dry and adjust the diameter of the pin if necessary. Line the spinner up with the outline of the cowling, because it is precisely this transition that reveals every inaccuracy. Paint the blades separately, in a matte black with a cast of dark green, and only then join the whole together.
A kit of the aircraft is not supplied with this part.
