Eduard die-cut self-adhesive PV-1 Ventura masks in 1:72 scale. A masking set for clean spraying of the extensive glazing and the wheel discs; it is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive die-cut painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but an accessory to the build: the masks let you spray the frames of the extensive cockpit glazing and the glazed sections of the fuselage accurately and cleanly, and mask the wheel discs. The film follows the shape of the frames faithfully, so the builder avoids laborious cutting and uneven edges.
The Lockheed PV-1 Ventura was an American twin-engined patrol and light bomber of the Second World War. It was used by the US Navy and entered combat in 1943. Thanks to an onboard radar it served on anti-submarine patrols as well as for long-range bombing, among other places in the Aleutians and in the Pacific, where equipped machines often guided formations of heavy bombers. It was powered by a pair of strong radial engines.
Lift the individual masks off the backing, seat them exactly on the glazing and press them down. Overspray the frames with an airbrush, first in the interior color and then in the exterior shade, and once dry peel the masks off carefully. Fill the broad transparent areas between the frames with liquid mask or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying them for better adhesion.
It is not an airplane model but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
