Reskit 1:72 pylons for the Boeing P-8A are a resin set of underwing pylons for a model of the maritime patrol aircraft, an accessory to a kit, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin accessory set in 1:72 scale from Reskit. It contains the underwing pylons for a model of the Boeing P-8A maritime patrol aircraft. It is not an aircraft kit: you need to have the base model, and the set adds to it the parts that a kit either leaves out or renders in simplified form.
The P-8A is a patrol and anti-submarine machine built on the basis of the twin-engined Boeing 737 airliner. It differs from its civil parent in, among other things, the very pylons under the wing that the airliner version does not have. On a model these are conspicuous, shapely parts, so their accuracy and the sharpness of their edges matter a great deal, and in 1:72 an aircraft of this size is big enough for everyone to notice.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that no mold release agent stays on them. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the seating face carefully by wet sanding; on pylons a flat seating face is essential, otherwise you will not keep them vertical. They are bonded with cyanoacrylate. Test the fit dry first and mark the position lightly on the wing. It pays to paint them separately, off the model, and to fit them to the wing at the very end; that saves masking.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
