Attack 1:72 Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.J (L 60) North Africa is a plastic kit of the German medium tank from the fighting in North Africa, rounded off with resin parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the German medium tank Panzer III in the Ausf. J version with the long 50 mm gun (L/60), in the early production configuration for deployment in North Africa. The model in 1:72 scale combines injection-molded plastic parts with resin accessories and injection-molded tracks; a decal sheet is included as well. It is a short-run kit, which calls for more careful preparation of the parts.
The Panzer III was one of the mainstays of the German armored forces in the first half of the Second World War. The Ausf. J version with the longer 50 mm gun gained markedly better penetrating power and proved itself against British tanks in the conditions of the North African campaign. Afrikakorps vehicles carried a characteristic desert finish.
With a short-run kit, reckon on cleaning up the molding remains and dry-fitting the parts. Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent residue and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Assemble and paint the running gear before finishing the hull. An airbrush suits a desert scheme, and the weathering is rounded off with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
