Eduard Sea Harrier FRS.1/FRS.2 masks 1:72 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the British Sea Harrier carrier-based fighter. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing and the wheels. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the British Sea Harrier carrier-based fighter in the FRS.1 and FRS.2 versions. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape. The masks help you create clean frames on the canopy and separate the tires from the discs while spraying.
The Sea Harrier is a British carrier-based fighter and reconnaissance aircraft with vertical and short takeoff thanks to vectoring of the engine thrust. It served with the Royal Navy from the decks of aircraft carriers and made its name with its deployment in the Falklands conflict. The later FRS.2 version, also known as the FA2, was given a modernized radar and more capable air-to-air guided missiles, which markedly improved its combat capability.
Degrease the glazing before applying the masks and let it dry. Lift the individual masks off the backing with tweezers and lay them on the frames of the canopy, press them into the edges and fill any gaps with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in two thin coats, so that it does not run under the edge of the mask. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a sharp angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
