A resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. The set contains wheels in finely cast resin for the British de Havilland Sea Vixen carrier jet fighter in 1:72 scale, complemented by painting masks for spraying the tires and the hubs. The resin wheels replace the simplified plastic parts with a faithful tire tread and a clean rendering of the hub. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
The wheels are always on show on a finished model, and their shape and the color separation between tire and hub strongly affect the overall impression. The casting captures a realistic tread profile and, on some types, a slight flattening at the point of contact, so the machine looks as though it really were standing on a deck or a runway. The masks supplied make it easy to spray the hub cleanly without laborious touch-up.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
