Skijäger Division 1:72 (Star Decals)

A set of water-slide decals from Star Decals in 1:72 scale. The sheet brings markings for the varied hardware of the German Skijäger division, including captured T-34 tanks and a range of further vehicles stated in the name.

The real subject

The package covers the vehicles T-34 m/41, T-34 m/43, StuG III Ausf G, the RSO/1 artillery tractor, the Grille Ausf H self-propelled gun and the Kübelwagen. The Skijäger, that is ski troops, were specialized German light infantry committed on the Eastern Front, whose units used a mixture of standard as well as captured hardware.

Use and application

Apply the decals in the wet way onto gloss varnish. Varnish the area with a clear gloss varnish first, soak the decal briefly, move it into place and seat it. For adhesion to the detail a decal softener helps; once dry, go over it with a matte or satin varnish.

Who the set is for

• modelers of German hardware of the Second World War
• anyone interested in captured T-34s in German colors
• collectors of the varied vehicles of one division

This is a set of decals, not a model. The vehicle, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
