The M-72 was a Soviet heavy motorcycle with a sidecar, produced from the beginning of the 1940s. It started from the design of a European heavy motorcycle of the day: a flat-twin two-cylinder engine with opposed cylinders, shaft drive and a robust frame. In service it was used mainly as a means of liaison, reconnaissance and courier work; the sidecar could carry another member of the crew or a load. The motorcycle with a sidecar stayed in civilian and professional service long after the end of the war.
Cut the parts carefully from the sprue and clean the mold seams up; with the small components of the frame and the fork work with a file rather than abrasive paper. Before painting, wash the set in lukewarm water with detergent. The motorcycle is rewarding to build in parts: paint the frame and the sidecar separately and only then assemble them and add the crew. Bring a single-color surface to life with a dark wash into the recesses and a dry brush on the edges, and complete the underside with pigment for a dust effect. Paint the figures from the uniform to the faces and unify them with matte varnish at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
