Panther exhaust mufflers in 1:35 — a Royal Model accessory for detailing the rear armor plate of the Pz.Kpfw. V.
Responsibility details are not available.
The exhaust pipes at the rear of the Panther are among the most conspicuous places on the whole vehicle and at the same time among those where the builder's care shows most. Royal Model offers them as a separate accessory for Pz.Kpfw. V builds.
The Panther carried a pair of vertical exhaust pipes on its rear armor plate. Early vehicles had them bare; later came sheet-metal shrouds, additional cooling and, on part of the production, flame-damping extensions so that the vehicle would not be visible for miles at night. Those are precisely the recognition feature of the late Panthers. The metal around the mouth tended to be heated to blue, and rusty, sooty streaks ran down the rear from the pipes: period photographs capture them practically every time, so there is no point in leaving them out.
Before gluing, try how the feet seat on the rear plate of your hull and thin them to sheet thickness if need be. Attach the brackets in stages with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and keep checking that the two pipes are vertical in relation to each other. When painting, start with a dark base, go on with a transition from rusty brown to blue-violet on the upper part and finally stipple in a rust pigment with a dry brush.
The set is for modifying a hull that is already under construction; the tank is a separate item.
