Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the modern Fennek light armored reconnaissance vehicle. The scale is 1:72 and the maker is Revell. The German word Spähwagen in the name denotes exactly an armored reconnaissance car, which captures the role of the real subject precisely. The number of parts, the contents of the package and the range of markings are stated on the box and in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Fennek is a four-wheeled armored vehicle that came out of a joint German-Dutch program for a light reconnaissance car. It entered service at the beginning of this century and serves with the ground forces of both countries. The vehicle is deliberately low and quiet so that it can approach a target unnoticed; the main weapon of the crew is not cannons but observation and reconnaissance equipment, including an extendable sensor mast. The light armament on the roof differed according to the task and the national version.
1:72 scale forgives little when it comes to seams, so try the hull joints dry first and glue them with thin cement from the inside. The wheels and the axles are practical to paint separately and to fit only once the hull has been finished. Modern vehicles have many smooth surfaces on which fine shading comes out; it looks best when you lighten the horizontal surfaces slightly. Dust on the fenders and the underside, a restrained dark wash into the panels and light rubbing of the edges will give the model the look of service without overwhelming it.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
