Model Set is the release in which the manufacturer adds basic paints, a brush and glue, so there is no need to hunt for equipment before a first build. The finished model measures seventy-seven millimeters in length and the manufacturer places it among the more demanding items for more advanced builders.
The Fennek is a light armored reconnaissance vehicle that came out of a joint German and Dutch program and began reaching units in December 2003. It is built for inconspicuousness and long observation of the terrain: a low silhouette, low noise and a telescopic observation mast with optics make it possible to work from a concealed position. Depending on its fit, the vehicle carries a 7.62 mm machine gun or a 40 mm grenade launcher.
In 1:72 scale detail is quickly lost under a heavy coat of paint, so apply the paint thinly and rather in several passes. Choose the weapon station according to the decal available and fit it only after the hull is varnished. Multicolor camouflage is better done in a small scale with a soft transition rather than a sharply bounded one. A dry brush along the edges will bring out shapes that would otherwise be lost.
The parts in the box are unassembled, but with the enclosed paints, brush and glue you can start building right after opening it.
