Eduard 1:72 Spitfire masks — camouflage scheme B is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for spraying the camouflage pattern on a model of the British fighter. This is not a model but an accessory for painting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks that follow the shape of the camouflage fields on the upper surfaces of the aircraft. It is not a kit and not a model but an accessory that makes it easier to spray the two-color camouflage without drawing the pattern freehand. The scale of the set is 1:72.
The masks are stuck onto the upper surfaces of the model according to camouflage scheme B and separate the individual color fields. Once the first and the second color have been sprayed, the camouflage takes on its exact shape. Depending on how you stick them down you can get a sharp edge or soft transitions. The set removes the uncertain job of measuring the pattern out by hand and speeds the work up.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-engine fighter of the Second World War and one of the best known RAF aircraft. The standard camouflage of the upper surfaces consisted of two shades in a prescribed pattern; schemes A and B differed from one machine to another in the mirrored layout of the fields.
The set contains only the self-adhesive masking parts for spraying the camouflage. The model and the paints are not included.
