The set holds finely cast resin cannon barrels for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire F Mk.22 fighter in 1:72 scale. It is an aftermarket accessory from the Quickboost brand (Aires) that replaces the plastic kit parts with sharper castings of more accurate shape. It is not an airplane model but a detail set for raising the realism of the finished build.
The Supermarine Spitfire F Mk.22 was one of the late versions of the British fighter with the powerful Rolls-Royce Griffon V12 engine. It carried cannon armament in the wing, and the barrels are a clearly visible detail even in a small scale. More faithfully rendered barrels sharpen the look of the wing leading edges.
First wash the resin parts to remove mold release residue, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and line them up in place. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). When sanding and cutting resin, protect your airways and work in a well-ventilated area.
This is an aftermarket resin accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
