This resin detail set holds faithfully rendered control surfaces for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.22 in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit but an accessory with which you replace the matching parts from the plastic kit and gain the option of showing the rudder, the elevator and the flaps in a realistically deflected position.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.22 is a late development version of the famous British fighter, powered by the potent Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. Against the early Spitfires it had a sturdier airframe, heavier armament and reworked tail surfaces. It served in the postwar period.
Wash the parts free of mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks and sand the edges down with respiratory protection. Cut the matching parts of the kit out carefully and seat the resin surfaces at a natural deflection angle. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for the kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
