Quickboost 1:72 Spitfire Mk.I De Havilland propeller with a tool is a resin replacement propeller for a model of the early Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I, supplied with an aid for aligning the blades.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from Quickboost, a brand of the Czech maker Aires, brings a faithfully cast de Havilland propeller for a model of the early British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers. The tool supplied makes it easier to glue the blades at the right angle.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production version of the famous British fighter, used at the beginning of the Second World War and made famous in the Battle of Britain. The early machines received various types of propeller; the de Havilland propeller with variable blade pitch improved performance over the earliest fixed two-blade propeller.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove mold release residue. Cut off the casting blocks with a saw and sand the cut surfaces with respiratory protection. Bond the parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with plastic cement. Put the blades together with the help of the tool supplied so that the angle and the spacing come out right.
The set is supplied as a resin part, unassembled and unpainted. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a plastic kit. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
