Eduard Brassin 1:72 Spitfire Mk.IX top cowl late is a resin replacement top engine cowl of the late version for Spitfire Mk.IX models in 1:72 scale. It is a detail accessory, not a model in its own right.
Responsibility details are not available.
The resin part from the company Eduard replaces the top engine cowl in the late rendering for Spitfire Mk.IX models in 1:72 scale. The resin casting captures the shape of the cowling more precisely than injection-molded plastic. It is not a model of an airplane but an aftermarket accessory sharpening one particular part of a kit.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was among the most widespread versions of the British fighter with Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. During production the top engine cowl changed in details; this set answers to the later rendering of the cowling, which differed in the shape of the venting and of the bulges above the accessories.
Wash the casting clean of the mold release agent and separate it from the casting block. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Try the joint with the plastic of the fuselage dry and sand it gently if needed, with protection of the breathing. Degrease the surface before spraying the paint.
The set is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
