Montex 1:72 Spitfire Mk.XVI masks are precisely cut masks of matte film for a clean paint job on the glazing and the wheels of a Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks from the company Montex; it is not a kit. It is meant for plastic models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter in 1:72 scale. Montex uses a good matte film that contrasts well with the glazing and holds reliably even on rounded surfaces. The set serves for masking the cockpit and the wheels.
The Spitfire Mk.XVI was essentially a Mk.IX with a Rolls-Royce Merlin built under license in the USA by Packard. It was used at the end of the Second World War above all as a fighter-bomber; many machines had a cut-down rear fuselage and a bubble canopy for a better view.
Peel the mask off, lay it on the glass and press it down along the frames. Spray the color of the frames first and the upper camouflage once it has dried. The film comes off cleanly. For a soft transition use an airbrush.
The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
