A color 3D interior decal from Quinta Studio on decal paper. The instrument panels, side consoles, seats and belts are pre-printed in faithful colors and carry fine raised relief, so painting and photo-etching the cockpit falls away. The set is intended for models of the two-seat Su-17UM3 trainer version in 1:72 scale. It is the compact (smaller) version of the set. The set is designed for the Modelsvit kit.
The Su-17UM3 is the two-seat training variant of the Soviet variable-geometry fighter-bomber. It served to train pilots and kept the combat capability of the basic family, while the twin cockpit allowed instruction in flight.
The elements are applied as wet decals: the piece is dipped in water and slid into place. Degrease the surface beforehand, settle the piece onto a damp, smooth base and press it down with a soft brush. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution; they attack the printed resin and ruin the element. Once dry, tie the whole together with a thin matte coat.
This is a modeling accessory, not a standalone kit. The plastic model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
