A plastic kit of the two-seat trainer version of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-9U interceptor in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer Amodel. It is a short-run injection-molded model intended rather for more experienced modelers. It is built from plastic parts and finished with decal markings according to the instructions.
The Su-9 was a Soviet single-seat supersonic interceptor with a delta wing, NATO reporting name Fishpot. The two-seat Su-9U trainer version with its cockpits in tandem served to train pilots and carried the NATO reporting name Maiden. The machine belonged to the air defense system and was armed with air-to-air guided missiles.
Pay attention to the tandem cockpit and to masking it. Dry fit the parts and dress the mold seams, and on the areas use primer and an airbrush. Natural metal areas are brought out with metallic paint; apply gloss varnish before the decals and finally even the surface out to the sheen you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
