This is a decal set in 1:72 scale from the brand Model Maker intended for the Sukhoi Su-22M4 in the special finish that the name identifies as Spirit of Stefan Stec. The set is not a kit but a sheet of decals for a finished and painted model.
On combat aircraft special finishes tend to be more demanding artistically than ordinary camouflage. Large areas of graphics are transferred by decal, so the result stands and falls with the preparation of the surface. Before applying them it pays to set the model aside for a day longer than usual and to let the paint cure completely. Large decals pull harder as they are seated, and soft paint could shift.
Overcoat the area a decal is going onto with gloss varnish, otherwise a white haze will form around the film. Dip the decal in clean water and let it soften on the paper, and only then slide it onto the moistened place. Seat large items from the center toward the edges and press the surplus water out with a soft cloth. The rest is finished off by a softener, which draws a decal into the engraved lines and over the rivets. Once dry, wash the surface and even it out with a matte or semi-matte overcoat, so that the sheen of the surface and of the decals does not differ.
The package holds decals. The kit, the paints, the varnish and the softener are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
