A 3D-printed (resin) set of exhaust nozzles for the American carrier-based fighter F/A-18 Hornet in 1:48 scale. This is a detail accessory designed to replace parts of the base Hasegawa injection-molded kit — it is not a standalone aircraft model. The set faithfully reproduces the petal shapes and internal structure of the nozzles, which are often simplified on kit parts.
It replaces the original plastic exhaust nozzles of both engines with more detailed resin parts featuring realistic geometry. The result is a more faithful rear section of the aircraft, which noticeably lifts the impression of engine-bay detail on the finished model.
First wash the resin parts to remove residual release agent, carefully separate them from the casting blocks, and glue with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Wear respiratory protection when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting; bring the nozzles' metallic shades to life with subtle shading and highlighted recesses.
This is a detail accessory for experienced modelers, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue, and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
