New Ware 1:72 Sukhoi Su-57, masks for the engine nozzles: pre-cut kabuki templates for separating the metallic shades of the exhaust nozzles on this Russian fighter in 1:72 scale cleanly.
Responsibility details are not available.
A specialized set of pre-cut New Ware kabuki templates aimed at the exhaust nozzles of the Sukhoi Su-57 model in 1:72 scale. The area around the nozzles is one of the most demanding places in the whole build: metallic shades of heat-tinted metal alternate with the surrounding camouflage and the boundary between them has to be absolutely clean. Pre-cut masks keep an eye on that boundary for you.
Metallic paints are the most delicate thing to mask, because glossy pigment emphasizes every bit of creep and every adhesive mark. Kabuki paper has low tack, so once lifted it leaves no traces and does not pull off the coat underneath. The recommended sequence: spray the metallic shades of the nozzles first and let them cure, mask them, and only then finish the surrounding camouflage. The heat-tinted transitions on the nozzles can be shaded with translucent tones of blue and brown over the metallic base.
The Sukhoi Su-57 is a Russian twin-engined fifth-generation fighter, listed under the NATO reporting name Felon. A pair of engines with movable nozzles allows thrust vectoring; the prominent exhaust nozzles with their segmented construction are one of the recognition features of the type and draw the eye on a model.
This is a masking accessory: the aircraft kit is not included in the package.
